Rainbow cards and tags – printables to celebrate just about everything

The weekend is upon us once again. Not that I’m complaining about the work week going by quickly. Even though I love my job, I do love days off just a little bit more. 😉

We have plenty planned for the weekend. Celebrating my sister’s and nephew’s birthdays being the biggest event. Getting together with family is truly great and we’re lucky enough to have most family members pretty close by. Just a half hour drive or so away.

I wanted to make some matching cards and tags for their gifts. Something appropriate for both kids and adults. The rainbow theme definitely fit the bill. There’s something about rainbows. even now as an adult, knowing the science behind rainbows, they still FEEL magical. An everyday type of natures wonder and a bit of happines on a rainy day.

Surprise your kids with printable post-it notes in their lunch boxes + birthdays post-its

So, our week long winter break is over and things are back to normal around here. Which is nice too. I love my job and on Mondays I’m always full of enegy and ready to get the work week started. Later in the week both my student s and I tend to leak energy and slow down a bit. But each Monday, we’re back in full speed ahead again.

As in many jobs, we use a lot of post-its at work. Personally, I’m particularly fond of the brightly colored ones. The hot pink and orange ones are my favorites. 🙂 They pale yellow ones, not so much.

Coloring bookmarks – print, color and read

In this part of Sweden, we have one week of winter break this week, and it’s FANTASTIC! 😀 A full week off from work to spend time together, do fun things, relax and ………. clean the house. Yes, we’re squeezing in a bit of clening too. I’ve listened to “The life-changing magic of tidying up” by Mari Condo as an audiobook and feel super inspired to tidy every inch of our apartment. Cleaning has never been this fun before!

A week off from work also means my son having friends over and me getting some “me-time”, which for me means time to design. 🙂

Boxes for Spring gifts, treats and favors

Today my sister came to visit with her kids and we went to the park for some snow fun. There’a a hill in the park that the kids used their snow rockets and sledges on. The sun had melted most of the snow and one side of the hill was completely green. But the shadowy side still had some snow and we had a blast.

We came home with red cheeks to eat some Chicken-noodle soup and played some board games as well as Nintendo. We ended the visit with coffee and oatmeal cookies. I feel some real nostalgia whenever I eat oatmeal cookies. My grandmother always used to serve them when we visited her as kids. Such fond memories!

Even thoug the snow is slowly fading away, spring feels far, far away. Winter is my least favorite season and I for one can’t wait for spring and warmer weather. To lessen some of my longing, I’ve started allowing myself to at least design a few things with spring in mind.
